This vibrant rosé is made from a mix of red and white indigenous grape varietals – 50% Hondarribi Beltza and 50% Hondarribi Zuri. The vines range in age from 5 to over 150 years old, and sit on sand and clay soils in the Basque region of Spain. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and bottled with residual carbonic acid that gives the wine its natural spritz.



Aromatics of raspberry, strawberry, blood orange and ripe melon are desperate to escape from the glass. It’s round at first, then fizzy, fresh and fun with notes of raspberry, pomegranate, and guava in the mouth. Clocking in at just 10.5% alcohol, it’s the perfect summer thirst quencher. It’s food-friendly, pairing with almost anything you throw at it. From cheese and salami (hello picnic wine) to grilled pork burgers (hello summer cook-out) but it’s especially nice with Pasta with Squid and Olives, an easy weeknight summer seafood meal.



Ignacio Ameztoi is the seventh generation to carry on the tradition of making Txakolina in the province of Getaria. They own 20 hectares of vines in the best location. From the vineyards one can see the town of St. Sebastian and understand the influence of the Atlantic Ocean on local viticulture. In the Basque country, they drink it year-round. They drink it with meat, too. That’s the culture.
