Do you want to understand terroir? Would you like to finally experience the essence of a place in a bottle of wine? This is where it's at. Perhaps with the exception of the great vineyards of Burgundy, now two regions in the world are as demonstrative of distinct character as Cornas and Cote Roti. Separated by only 35 km, these two appellations produce totally distinct, beautiful wines with roughly the same varietal makeup. This is the apex of Syrah - as good as it gets. In this series of five classes, we're going to dig in to terroir - from France to New Zealand.
