Do you want to understand terroir? Would you like to finally experience the essence of a place in a bottle of wine? This is where it's at. Perhaps with the exception of the great vineyards of Burgundy, now two regions in the world are as demonstrative of distinct character as Cornas and Cote Roti. Separated by only 35 km, these two appellations produce totally distinct, beautiful wines with roughly the same varietal makeup. This is the apex of Syrah - as good as it gets. Take this class and you'll find two new regions to worship. Dedalus Wine Shop and the Vermont Wine School are partnering to take wine education to the next level. In this series of five classes, we're going to dig in to terroir - from France to New Zealand. We'll taste wine from regional rock stars in the Languedoc to the hallowed crus of Cote Roti and Cornas in the Northern Rhone. All of our classes are held at l'Amante on College Street.
