Story:

Ribera del Duero sits on the elevated northern plateau of the Iberian Peninsula at 2800ft above sea level. Sweeping rows of Tempranillo vines, the most important grape of the region, are vast and strikingly beautiful. Ribera del Duero is an important wine-producing area in northern Spain. Its good reputation is largely thanks to the high-quality of its Tempranillo-based wines, the best examples of which are renowned throughout the world.

Tasting:

This 100% Tempranillo is rich on the nose with funky, earthy, savory aromatics wrapped around black fruit. In the mouth it’s juicy upfront with vibrant black and purple fruit and notes of cassis. A medium-long finish with earthy notes of tobacco; grainy tannins and an ample dose of acidity make this wine a wonderful partner with our recipe for French Onion Tart. Sweet and savory caramelized onions and a nutty whole grain crust work nicely with the earthy, dark fruited flavors.
