Annabella 6pack Sampler – Keeping you balanced this spring

Posted by Abby on Wed May 18, 2011

It’s spring my friends, and not only is it difficult to plan what outfit you’ll be most comfortable in (welcome to the season of layers), but it’s also a tricky time to plan what wine to drink! Sunshine screams for white wine, cool evenings beg for red. What’s an oenophile to do?

We’ve got you covered. We are bringing you a six-pack sampler that covers the bases of a Vermont spring, a ripe, juicy Chardonnay for your warmer days and a big, tasty, belly-warming Cabernet for those chillier evenings. Both wines brought to you by elite wine producer Michael Pozzan. This six-pack is just $68.99 – not too shabby for six bottles of Cab & Chard from an ‘elite’ California producer. Not too shabby at all, as a matter of fact. Better snap one up before they’re all gone.

Annabella Chardonnay 2009

This is a beautifully balanced Chardonnay. Tropical fruit, buttered toast, and smooth drinkability equal an excellent wine at an excellent price. It’s not an oak monster, though oak is there, the fruit and acidity balance it all out. This wine is destined to be served alongside a Lobster Roll, fresh Maine lobster in a warm buttered roll.

Annabella Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

The 2009 vintage of this Cabernet is quite tasty. It’s a big and beautiful wine with notes of dark berries, chocolate, and leather. Tannins give good structure and make this wine a winner with a juicy steak. Perfect for early spring grilling in your favorite sweatshirt.

Michael Pozzan’s roots extend to Italy’s Piedmont region where his family still owns the original vineyard his great-grandfather planted over 150 years ago. Pozzan is a native Californian, and his wines reflect that Napa Valley style. Lush reds and crisp whites that are priced to enjoy every day. Michael Pozzan’s Annabella wines are named for his grandmother. They are made to enjoy with family and friends, home cooked meals, and fresh air.

So come in and get your spring drinking bases covered with these super drinkable wines. At the price, you can afford to have a bunch of friends over to celebrate the eventual arrival of summer!
