La Maialina Chianti – A juicy Tuscan gem

Posted by Jason on Tue February 15, 2011

Keep walking people, nothing to see here. Don’t pay any attention to the unbelievably tasty Chianti with the little orange pig on the label. Just keep on walkin’…

Maybe we should’ve kept this wine on the down-low for a while. Our own private stash of Chianti that tastes like 20 bucks but only sets you back 12. Well, lucky for you we just can’t control ourselves.

This blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Cabernet is fermented and aged in stainless steel encouraging all of that bright, juicy red cherry, cranberry and strawberry to pop right out of the glass. This is a playful, delicious, medium-bodied drinker built for the table. Cook up a big pot of marinara with extra basil and garlic. Ladle it over some al dente pasta, vigorously grate the Reggiano, and pull the cork on this little pig. You’ll love the pairing.

Jason, you’re a wine genius and your writing is awesome. Please continue to kick ass.
