This lively white is mostly Albillo sourced from the mountains west of Madrid. 4 Monos (4 Monkeys) is a project of 4 naturally minded winemaking friends looking to produce typical, delicious wines that speak of the region. This one is fresh and zesty with notes of citrus and minerals.
Not your grandma’s rosé. Sebastien Chatillon is a sommelier and a wineshop owner in the South of France in addition to making fabulous, low intervention wines in the Rhone. This is a blend of indigenous Southern Rhone varieties and is bright, juicy, and funky on the palate.
The Alesia label designates estate-grown wines of Rhys, one of our favorite domestic producers. This wine is orchard fruited, with notes of butter, honeysuckle, and fresh juicy peach. It nods toward an Old World style, while maintaining a sense of New World terroir.
This medium-bodied, balanced, fruity and mineral Pinot Noir is undeniably delicious. With freshness and finesse, it delivers everything we want with a roast chicken dinner. It is expressive and nuanced and we can’t get enough.
Quite possibly the best butter in the United States. Diane St Clair makes this extremely decadent butter from the milk of her small herd of Jersey Cows in Orwell, Vermont. Hand skimmed, hand-churned and cultured using Diane’s own Buttermilk, Animal Farm Butter is the definition of an artisan product and one that reflects its unique Vermont terroir. Dedalus is one of the very few retailers with access to this highly limited production and highly delicious butter.
ORDERS LIMITED TO 2 LBS. PER CUTOMER
Please note: If ordering for shipment, be advised that the butter is shipped separately, overnight via FedEx. It can get pricy! But we want to be certain you have the best possible experience with this fantastic butter. If your shipping charge at checkout is high, that's why.
Born in Champagne, Anne Sophie Dubois understands the vine. She’s part of a new generation of Beaujolais winemakers looking to become a part of the always increasing reputation of the region. This wine is energetic, high-toned, with bright acidity.
Anthill Farms has long been one of our favorite sources for great California Pinot Noir. Their Anderson Valley Pinot Noir represents a real and tangible testament to the state of California Pinot Noir today. Which is to say, it has never been better. You just won’t find a more delicious Pinot Noir elsewhere.
Anthill may be known for their stupendous Pinot Noirs, but it was their Chardonnay that blew the staff away last year. It’s back and still a stunner. Peugh Vineyard Chardonnay is clean, mineral, and precise, with just a hint of richness on the back end. Give it as a gift, or open it up with some cheese.
Anthony, son of famous Beaujolais legend, Jean-Paul Thevenet, tries his own hand at making wine in this famed Cru of the region. Morgon is known for structure, longevity, and quality, and this wine fits the bill. Drink with a slight chill and enjoy!
Once the most well-known and widely-available British cheese, true Cheshire is now one of the rarest of birds. In fact, there remains only one surviving farmhouse Cheshire producer in the UK - the Appleby family on Hawkstone Farm. The farm is currently owned and operated by Sarah Appleby, who - together with cheesemaker Garry Gray - oversees cheese production, and her husband Paul, who takes care of the cattle and ensures their milk is of the highest quality. Their herd of cows graze on Shropshire's mineral-rich grasses, resulting in a flinty but still super rich paste.
The Gamay grape is not a variety typically associated with California, and Arnot-Roberts and their high elevation El Dorado Gamay are working to change that. In the glass, in the nose, and on the palate, this noble Gamay appears 100% at home in Cali, displaying brightness, energy, and West Coast verve.
