Dolores Cabrera’s red, from her label la Araucaria, comes from 100-plus-year-old vines of Listan Negro planted in the volcanic soils of Mount Teide. Herbal and floral, like Loire Valley Cabernet Franc, with a mineral-laden volcanic character reminiscent of Etna reds. This wine speaks strongly to its origins. A real volcanic treat.

Pedro Rodríguez is at the forefront of the Ribeira Sacra revival & for good reason. ‘Camiño Real’ or ‘Royal Path’ was once traversed by kings en route from Doade to Castro Candelas. This wine mirrors the aristocratic accouterment of a traveling king: velvet, exotic spices & luscious dark fruit.
