A lively and intriguing nose of cherry-berry, raspberry, pomegranate and orange zest. In the mouth that liveliness continues with notes of tart red fruits, red apple skin, soft black tea tannins and a gentle earthy, peppery spice. At 12% alcohol, it lies just on the lighter side of medium-bodied and would be fantastic with a selection of Alpine or sheep or goat cheeses.
You will often overhear the Dedalus staff fawning over ‘Alpine Wines’ - wines coming from mountainous regions with high elevations and cool climates. Places like Alto Adige in Italy and the Savoie region in France. Why do we go nuts for these wines? They deliver some of our favorite qualities in wine - low alcohol, high acid, fragrant, clean, fresh - all of these things translate to a wine that is supremely drinkable or gluggable.
