Nestled east of the Gironde estuary, between two rivers, Château les Rouillères is something of a rustic gem. The historic estate was founded by monks, and the area around it is known for entry-level Bordeaux Supérior and Entre-Deux-Mers. Essentially, it’s working-class Bordeaux. An honest, down-to-earth, delicious table wine hidden in the shadows of grand estates closer to the rivers that charge thousands for a few rare bottles. Notes of ripe black fruits with a soft, voluptuous texture and overarching freshness.
