Stefano Antonucci Rosso Piceno 2021
It’s a common story in rural areas around the world. Young people grow up and leave home for the cities, for jobs in tech and finance and creativity. Stefano Antonucci left his home, the town of Barbara, for a life as a banker. What he didn’t count on was being pulled back to his rural hometown and becoming a winemaker. He left the gleam and glimmer of the big city and embraced his agricultural roots, beginning his estate with the dream of reinvigorating the traditions of his home with a modern perspective.
This blend of Montelpulciano and Sangiovese is vinified in stainless steel. It’s a soft ruby red with aromas of date, aged sweet tobacco, and plush red fruit. It drinks easily — a juicy, balanced summer sipper with smooth tannins that pairs well anything hot off the grill.
