Next-generation Beaujo from Michele Smith and her husband David Chapel! This Gamay is light and crunchy — typical of the Fleurie cru —but with a depth and complexity we don't see in all of the Smith Chapel wines. It's thanks to the old-vine energy of the Gamay planted to the Cire Noire plot. This is the last ever bottling of this particular wine — in the future, the fruit from this parcel is going to their Charbonnieres cuvée. Get it while you can!
