Want to talk about bang for your buck? We can do that. At this price, Fatto Tombola comes out to about $3.50 a glass. So yeah, we would say this is a solid house wine. A party starter. The perfect companion for pizza and shenanigans.

But that would be selling it extremely short. Our newest exclusive wine comes from Fausto and Cinzia Cellario in Piedmont. Drinking it will make you feel like you’re a Piedmont local and you’ve run down the cobblestone street to the mercato to fill your jug with fresh juice from the wisecracking nonna who sells her cool son’s natural wine in the back. Because there’s a well-known story about what Piedmont wine is — gorgeous, serious, age-worthy Nebbiolo — and then there’s this.

Fatto Tombola is 100% Grignolino, and it’s a trip. The essence of a good time. You’ll get notes of cherry Twizzler and fruit leather, Ocean Spray cranberry juice, Cynar, Hibiscus tea, and spicy herbs like tarragon and thyme. It’s a light red — putting a chill on it will really make the juicy acidity and fruitiness of Fatto pop. Ideal with pizza, or on its own, it’s a welcoming wine. The kind of thing you want to pour for your friends over and over again.
